A vulnerability was found in PHP up to 5.2.0 (Programming Language Software). It has been classified as critical. This affects the function odbc_result_all. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-119. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. Multiple format string vulnerabilities in PHP before 5.2.1 might allow attackers to execute arbitrary code via format string specifiers to (1) all of the *print functions on 64-bit systems, and (2) the odbc_result_all function.
The bug was discovered 02/08/2007. The weakness was disclosed 02/09/2007 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at issues.rpath.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2007-0909 since 02/13/2007. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely.
