Details
A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in LabRedesCefetRJ WeGIA up to 3.6.5. Affected is an unknown code of the file remover_produto_ocultar.php. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
WeGIA is a web manager for charitable institutions. Prior to version 3.6.6, a critical SQL injection vulnerability exists in the WeGIA application. The remover_produto_ocultar.php script uses extract($_REQUEST) to populate local variables and then directly concatenates these variables into a SQL query executed via PDO::query. This allows an authenticated (or auth-bypassed) attacker to execute arbitrary SQL commands. This can be used to exfiltrate sensitive data from the database or, as demonstrated in this PoC, cause a time-based delay (denial of service). This vulnerability is fixed in 3.6.6.
The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2026-31896 since 03/09/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1505 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
