A vulnerability was found in gVectors wpDiscuz up to 7.6.46 and classified as problematic. This issue affects the function getLastInlineComments of the file class.WpdiscuzHelperAjax.php. wpDiscuz before 7.6.47 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the inline comment preview functionality that allows authenticated users to inject malicious scripts by submitting comments with unescaped content. Attackers with unfiltered_html capabilities can inject JavaScript directly through comment content rendered in the AJAX response from the getLastInlineComments() function in class.WpdiscuzHelperAjax.php without proper HTML escaping.
The weakness was shared by Scott Moore. The advisory is shared at wordpress.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2026-22183 since 01/06/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy.
