Certain setuid DB2 binaries in IBM DB2 before 9 Fix Pack 2 for Linux and Unix allow local users to overwrite arbitrary files via a symlink attack on the DB2DIAG.LOG temporary file.

The bug was discovered 02/12/2007. The weakness was shared 02/12/2007 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at vupen.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2007-1027 since 02/20/2007.
