Details
A vulnerability was found in Flow up to 9.x and classified as critical. This issue affects the function eval of the file flow/admin/moniteur.php. The manipulation of the argument Action with an unknown input leads to a improper authentication vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-287. When an actor claims to have a given identity, the product does not prove or insufficiently proves that the claim is correct. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
The `flow/admin/moniteur.php` script in Use It Flow administration website before 10.0.0 is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution. When handling GET requests, the script takes user-supplied input from the `action` URL parameter, performs insufficient validation, and incorporates this input into a string that is subsequently executed by the `eval()` function. Although a `method_exists()` check is performed, it only validates the part of the user input *before* the first parenthesis `(`, allowing an attacker to append arbitrary PHP code after a valid method call structure. Successful exploitation allows an unauthenticated or trivially authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary PHP code on the server with the privileges of the web server process.
The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2025-50881 since 06/16/2025. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.
