A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in Cromosoft Simple Plantilla PHP (Programming Language Software) (unknown version). Affected is an unknown code block of the file list_main_pages.php. The manipulation of the argument nfolder with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Absolute path traversal vulnerability in list_main_pages.php in Cromosoft Simple Plantilla PHP (SPP) allows remote attackers to list arbitrary directories, and read arbitrary files, via an absolute pathname in the nfolder parameter.
The weakness was disclosed 02/22/2007 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2007-1138 since 02/27/2007. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Technical details and a public exploit are known.
