Eval injection vulnerability in the (a) kmz_ImportWithMesh.py Script for Blender 0.1.9h, as used in (b) Blender before 2.43, allows user-assisted remote attackers to execute arbitrary Python code by importing a crafted (1) KML or (2) KMZ file.

The weakness was released 03/01/2007 by Stefan Cornelius with Secunia Research (Website). The advisory is available at secunia.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2007-1253 since 03/03/2007. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.

It is declared as proof-of-concept. The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 25107 (GLSA-200704-19 : Blender: User-assisted remote execution of arbitrary code), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment.
