Wazuh version 4.12.0 contains an exposure vulnerability in GitHub Actions workflow artifacts that allows attackers to extract the GITHUB_TOKEN from uploaded artifacts. Attackers can use the exposed token within a limited time window to perform unauthorized actions such as pushing malicious commits or altering release tags.
The weakness was presented by jackhac and nopcorn as GHSA-6xqr-4q5g-xc7x. The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2025-15617 since 03/27/2026. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
