Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in Php Upload Tool 1.0 (Programming Language Software). Affected is some unknown functionality. The manipulation of the argument filename with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality. CVE summarizes:
Directory traversal vulnerability in upload/bin/download.php in Upload Tool for PHP 1.0 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via (1) ".." sequences or (2) absolute pathnames in the filename parameter.
