A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Sanster IOPaint 1.5.3. This vulnerability affects the function _get_file of the file iopaint/file_manager/file_manager.py of the component File Manager. The manipulation of the argument filename with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory.
