Details
A vulnerability was found in OpenClaw up to 2026.3.22. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects an unknown functionality of the component Signature Verification. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a authentication replay vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-294. A capture-replay flaw exists when the design of the product makes it possible for a malicious user to sniff network traffic and bypass authentication by replaying it to the server in question to the same effect as the original message (or with minor changes). Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
OpenClaw before 2026.3.23 contains a replay identity vulnerability in Plivo V2 signature verification that allows attackers to bypass replay protection by modifying query parameters. The verification path derives replay keys from the full URL including query strings instead of the canonicalized base URL, enabling attackers to mint new verified request keys through unsigned query-only changes to signed requests.
The weakness was disclosed by KeenSecurityLab as GHSA-cg6c-q2hx-69h7. The advisory is shared at github.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2026-35618 since 04/04/2026. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1040 for this issue.
