A vulnerability was found in Phpnuke PHP-Nuke 8.0 (Content Management System). It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing of the file modules.php of the component Downloads Module. The manipulation of the argument query with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-79. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in modules.php in PHP-Nuke 8.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the query parameter in a search operation in the Downloads module, a different product than CVE-2006-3948.
The weakness was disclosed 03/20/2007 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at wisec.it. This vulnerability was named CVE-2007-1519 since 03/20/2007. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.
