A vulnerability has been found in HAProxy up to 3.3.5 and classified as problematic. This vulnerability affects an unknown function of the component HTTP3 Parser. An issue was discovered in HAProxy before 3.3.6. The HTTP/3 parser does not check that the received body length matches a previously announced content-length when the stream is closed via a frame with an empty payload. This can cause desynchronization issues with the backend server and could be used for request smuggling. The earliest affected version is 2.6.
This vulnerability was named CVE-2026-33555 since 03/22/2026. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.
