Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in radare2 6.1.2 on UNIX. This affects an unknown function. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a os command injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-78. The product constructs all or part of an OS command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended OS command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
radare2 before 9236f44, when configured on UNIX without SSL, allows command injection via a PDB name to rabin2 -PP. NOTE: although users are supposed to use the latest version from git (not a release), the date range for the vulnerable code was less than a week, occurring after 6.1.2 but before 6.1.3.
The advisory is shared at github.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2026-41015 since 04/16/2026. The exploitability is told to be difficult. An attack has to be approached locally. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1202 for this issue.
