A vulnerability was found in MPM Chat 2.5 (Chat Software). It has been declared as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown function of the file view.php. The manipulation of the argument logi with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in view.php in MPM Chat 2.5 allows remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files via a .. (dot dot) in the logi parameter.
