Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in save_entry.php in realGuestbook 5.01 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the homepage parameter, as reachable through add_entry.php. NOTE: the original report stated that the vulnerability was in add_entry.php, which does not receive the input data.

The weakness was presented 03/17/2007 by Trew (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at vupen.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2007-1625 since 03/23/2007. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1059.007 according to MITRE ATT&CK.

It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:save_entry.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
