A vulnerability was found in Dolibarr up to 22.x. It has been declared as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is the function exec of the file odf.php of the component Software Package Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a os command injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-78. Dolibarr is an enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) software package. In versions prior to 23.0.0 , the ODT to PDF conversion process in odf.php concatenates the MAIN_ODT_AS_PDF configuration constant directly into a shell command passed to exec() without sanitization. An authenticated administrator can inject arbitrary OS commands via this constant using command separators, achieving remote code execution as the web server user when any ODT template is generated. This issue has been fixed in version 23.0.0.
The advisory is shared at github.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2026-23500 since 01/13/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. Additional levels of successful authentication are required for exploitation. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.
