Detailsinfo

A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in Azure go-ntlmssp up to 0.1.0. This vulnerability affects the function ntlmssp.Negotiator of the component Challenge Message Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a integer overflow vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-190. The product performs a calculation that can produce an integer overflow or wraparound, when the logic assumes that the resulting value will always be larger than the original value. This can introduce other weaknesses when the calculation is used for resource management or execution control. As an impact it is known to affect availability. CVE summarizes:

go-ntlmssp is a Go package that provides NTLM/Negotiate authentication over HTTP. Prior to version 0.1.1, a malicious NTLM challenge message can causes an slice out of bounds panic, which can crash any Go process using `ntlmssp.Negotiator` as an HTTP transport. Version 0.1.1 patches the issue.

The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2026-32952 since 03/17/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 310392 (Linux Distros Unpatched Vulnerability : CVE-2026-32952), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment.

Upgrading to version 0.1.1 eliminates this vulnerability. The upgrade is hosted for download at github.com.
