OpenClaw up to 2026.3.27 Signature Verification missing cryptographic step

CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Summaryinfo

A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in OpenClaw up to 2026.3.27. The impacted element is an unknown function of the component Signature Verification. This manipulation causes missing cryptographic step. This vulnerability is tracked as CVE-2026-41395. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. No exploit exists. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in OpenClaw up to 2026.3.27. Affected by this vulnerability is some unknown processing of the component Signature Verification. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a missing cryptographic step vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-325. The product does not implement a required step in a cryptographic algorithm, resulting in weaker encryption than advertised by the algorithm. As an impact it is known to affect integrity. The summary by CVE is:

OpenClaw before 2026.3.28 contains a webhook replay vulnerability in Plivo V3 signature verification that canonicalizes query ordering for signatures but hashes raw URLs for replay detection. Attackers can reorder query parameters to bypass replay cache detection and trigger duplicate voice-call processing with a captured valid signed webhook.

The weakness was disclosed by KeenSecurityLab as GHSA-8689-gm9g-jgr6. The advisory is shared at github.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2026-41395 since 04/20/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1600 for this issue.

Upgrading to version 2026.3.28 eliminates this vulnerability.

The vulnerability is also documented in the vulnerability database at CERT Bund (WID-SEC-2026-0930). If you want to get the best quality for vulnerability data then you always have to consider VulDB.
