A vulnerability was found in witshare 0.9 and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown code of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument menu with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Directory traversal vulnerability in index.php in witshare 0.9 allows remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files via a .. (dot dot) in the menu parameter.
