A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Dreamcodes PcP-Guestbook 3.0. Affected by this vulnerability is some unknown functionality of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument lang with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities in PcP-Guestbook (PcP-Book) 3.0 allow remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files via a .. (dot dot) in the lang parameter to (1) index.php, (2) gb.php, or (3) faq.php.
