A vulnerability has been found in puchunjie doc-tools-mcp 1.0.18 and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is the function create_document/open_document of the file src/mcp-server.ts of the component MCP Interface. The manipulation of the argument filePath with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory.
