Details
A vulnerability has been found in icip-cas PPTAgent (unknown version) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects the function markdown_table_to_image of the component Directory Creation Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. PPTAgent is an agentic framework for reflective PowerPoint generation. Prior to commit 418491a, PPTAgent is vulnerable to arbitrary file write and directory creation via markdown_table_to_image. This issue has been patched via commit 418491a.
