Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in inducer relate (affected version unknown). Affected is the function make_sign_in_key of the file auth.py of the component Token Generation Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a weak prng vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-338. The product uses a Pseudo-Random Number Generator (PRNG) in a security context, but the PRNG's algorithm is not cryptographically strong. RELATE is a web-based courseware package. Prior to commit 2f68e16, RELATE is vulnerable to predictable token generation in auth.py's make_sign_in_key() function and exam.py's gen_ticket_code() function. This issue has been patched via commit 2f68e16.
