Affected by this issue is the function e2pdf-download of the component Shortcode Handler. The manipulation of the argument id with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. The E2Pdf – Export Pdf Tool for WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'id' attribute of the `e2pdf-download` shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 1.32.17. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on the shortcode attribute. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
The weakness was shared by Djaidja Moundjid. The advisory is available at wordfence.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2026-7650 since 05/01/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy.
