Details
A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in themefusion Avada Builder Plugin up to 3.15.2 on WordPress. Affected is the function fusion_get_svg_from_file of the component Shortcode Handler. The manipulation of the argument custom_svg with an unknown input leads to a absolute path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-36. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that should be within a restricted directory, but it does not properly neutralize absolute path sequences such as "/abs/path" that can resolve to a location that is outside of that directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality. CVE summarizes:
The Avada Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Read in all versions up to, and including, 3.15.2 via the 'fusion_get_svg_from_file' function with the 'custom_svg' parameter of the 'fusion_section_separator' shortcode. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information. The vulnerability was partially patched in version 3.15.2 and fully patched in version 3.15.3.
The weakness was published by Rafie Muhammad. The advisory is available at wordfence.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2026-4782 since 03/24/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy.
