Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Linux Kernel up to 6.19.8. This issue affects the function rt1011_recv_spk_mode_put of the component rt1011. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a null pointer dereference vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-476. A NULL pointer dereference occurs when the application dereferences a pointer that it expects to be valid, but is NULL, typically causing a crash or exit. Impacted is availability. The summary by CVE is:
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: codecs: rt1011: Use component to get the dapm context in spk_mode_put The correct helper to use in rt1011_recv_spk_mode_put() to retrieve the DAPM context is snd_soc_component_to_dapm(), from kcontrol we will receive NULL pointer.
