Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in U-SPEED AC1200 up to 1.0. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the component Network Time Protocol. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a command injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-77. The product constructs all or part of a command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended command when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
U-SPEED AC1200 Gigabit Wi-Fi Router (Model: T18-21K) V1.0 is vulnerable to Command Injection. The Network Time Protocol (NTP) configuration interface does not properly sanitize user-supplied input. An authenticated user with permission to configure NTP settings can inject arbitrary system commands through crafted input fields. These commands are executed with elevated privileges, leading to potential full system compromise.
