Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in flightphp core up to 3.18.0. Affected is the function SimplePdo::insert/SimplePdo::update/SimplePdo::delete. The manipulation of the argument table with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Flight is an extensible micro-framework for PHP. Prior to 3.18.1, SimplePdo::insert(), SimplePdo::update(), and SimplePdo::delete() build SQL statements by concatenating the $table argument and the keys of the $data array directly into the query, with no identifier quoting and no validation. When an application forwards user-controlled data shapes to these helpers — a common and documented pattern, e.g. $db->insert('users', $request->data->getData()) — an attacker can inject arbitrary SQL by crafting malicious array keys. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.18.1.
The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2026-42550 since 04/28/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1505 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
Upgrading to version 3.18.1 eliminates this vulnerability.
