Detailsinfo

A vulnerability was found in MacWarrior clipbucket-v5 up to up to 5.5.3 and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is the function fetch_action_logs of the file admin_area/action_logs.php of the component Authenticated Admin Endpoint. The manipulation of the argument type with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:

ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to 5.5.3 - #122, there is a critical SQL Injection (SQLi) vulnerability in ClipBucket, exploitable through the type parameter on the authenticated admin endpoint admin_area/action_logs.php. The endpoint admin_area/action_logs.php reads $_GET['type'], stores it in $result_array['type'], and forwards it into fetch_action_logs(), where the value is concatenated directly into a SQL WHERE condition on action_type without parameterization. This allows UNION-based SQL injection and direct data exfiltration from the database. This vulnerability is fixed in 5.5.3 - #122.

The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2026-42847 since 04/30/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1505 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
