A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Miniorange Backup and Restore Plugin 1.0.3 on WordPress. This vulnerability affects the function file_name of the file admin-ajax.php. WordPress Plugin Backup and Restore 1.0.3 contains an arbitrary file deletion vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers to delete files by manipulating parameters in AJAX requests. Attackers can send POST requests to admin-ajax.php with crafted file_name and folder_name parameters to delete arbitrary files from the WordPress installation directory.
The weakness was presented by Murat DEMIRCI as 50503. The advisory is shared for download at exploit-db.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2021-47979 since 05/16/2026.
