Details
A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Address List Extension up to 8.1.1/9.1.0/10.0.0 on TYPO3. This vulnerability affects the function AddressRepository::getSqlQuery. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
The AddressRepository::getSqlQuery() method constructs a database query without properly sanitizing user input, leading to SQL Injection. The method is not invoked anywhere within the extension itself and therefore poses no direct risk in a default installation. However, custom extensions that call this method with untrusted input would expose the site to SQL injection.
The advisory is shared for download at typo3.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2026-8827 since 05/18/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1505.
Upgrading to version 8.1.2, 9.1.1 or 10.0.1 eliminates this vulnerability.
