Details
A vulnerability was found in Nozomi Guardian and CMC up to 26.0.x. It has been declared as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown function of the component Content Security Policy Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. As an impact it is known to affect integrity. The summary by CVE is:
A Stored HTML Injection vulnerability was discovered in the Smart Polling functionality due to improper validation of an input parameter. An authenticated user with limited privileges can push malicious remote strategies containing HTML tags through the sync. When a victim views the affected remote strategy in the Smart Polling functionality, the injected HTML renders in their browser, enabling phishing and possibly open redirect attacks. Full XSS exploitation and direct information disclosure are prevented by the existing input validation and Content Security Policy configuration.
