Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in NVIDIA DGX Spark. This affects an unknown code of the component SSH Host Key Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a hard-coded key vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-321. The use of a hard-coded cryptographic key significantly increases the possibility that encrypted data may be recovered. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
NVIDIA DGX OS contains a vulnerability in the factory provisioning process, where the cloning of a base image causes identical SSH host keys to be deployed across multiple systems. The sharing of cryptographic identifiers across all similarly provisioned systems enables host impersonation or attacker-in-the-middle attacks. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to code execution, data tampering, escalation of privileges, information disclosure, and denial of service.
This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2026-24218 since 01/21/2026. The exploitability is told to be difficult. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1600.001 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
Upgrading to version OTA0 eliminates this vulnerability.
