Detailsinfo

A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in Trend Micro TrendAI Apex One and TrendAI Apex One as a Service (version unknown). Affected is an unknown function. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-23. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that should be within a restricted directory, but it does not properly neutralize sequences such as ".." that can resolve to a location that is outside of that directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:

A directory traversal vulnerability in the Apex One (on-premise) server could allow a pre-authenticated local attacker to modify a key table on the server to inject malicious code to deploy to agents on affected installations. This vulnerability is only exploitable on the on-premise version of Apex One and a potential attacker must have access to the Apex One Server and already obtained administrative credentials to the server via some other method to exploit this vulnerability.

The advisory is available at success.trendmicro.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2026-34926 since 03/31/2026. The exploitability is told to be difficult. Local access is required to approach this attack. Additional levels of successful authentication are required for exploitation. Technical details are unknown but an exploit is available.
