code100x Mobile API authorization

CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in code100x (affected version not known). This affects some unknown functionality of the component Mobile API. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a authorization vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-639. The system's authorization functionality does not prevent one user from gaining access to another user's data or record by modifying the key value identifying the data. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:

code100x contains an authentication bypass vulnerability in the Mobile API that allows unauthenticated attackers to impersonate arbitrary users by supplying a crafted JSON payload in the 'g' HTTP header. The middleware in middleware.ts skips identity header generation when an Auth-Key header is present without validating its value, allowing attackers to inject a spoofed user identity header that the downstream route handler in the mobile courses endpoint accepts as trusted, granting unauthorized access to course data belonging to any enrolled user or administrator.

The weakness was disclosed by Shravan Manne as 1924. It is possible to read the advisory at github.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2026-8890 since 05/18/2026.
