A vulnerability was found in Ruben Boelinger wordtube 1.43 on WordPress (WordPress Plugin). It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown part of the file wordtube-button.php. The manipulation of the argument wpPATH with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Directory traversal vulnerability in wordtube-button.php in the wordTube 1.43 and earlier plugin for WordPress, when register_globals is enabled, allows remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files via a .. (dot dot) in the wpPATH parameter.
The bug was discovered 04/30/2007. The weakness was disclosed 05/01/2007 by M.Hasran Addahroni (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2007-2482 since 05/03/2007. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
