A vulnerability has been found in cservit affiliate-toolkit Plugin up to 3.8.4 on WordPress and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects the function runString. The affiliate-toolkit plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to remote code execution in all versions up to, and including, 3.8.5. This is due to the plugin using the BladeOne templating engine's runString() method which compiles user-supplied template content into PHP code and executes it via eval() without sanitization or sandboxing. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Editor-level access and above, to execute arbitrary code on the server by injecting PHP into a plugin template.
The weakness was released by Nguyen Quang Truong. The advisory is available at wordfence.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2026-6169 since 04/12/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploitation needs additional levels of successful authentication. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
