A vulnerability was found in PHP up to 5.2.1 (Programming Language Software). It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is the function make_http_soap_request. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-119. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. Buffer overflow in the make_http_soap_request function in PHP before 5.2.2 has unknown impact and remote attack vectors, possibly related to "/" (slash) characters.
The bug was discovered 05/03/2007. The weakness was presented 05/04/2007 (Website). The advisory is available at rhn.redhat.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2007-2510 since 05/07/2007.
