Integer signedness error in the acl (facl) system call in Solaris 10 before 20070507 allows local users to cause a denial of service (kernel panic) and possibly gain privileges via a certain argument, related to ACE_SETACL.
The bug was discovered 05/07/2007. The weakness was published 05/07/2007 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at labs.idefense.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2007-2529 since 05/08/2007. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack needs to be approached locally.
