A vulnerability was found in Microsoft Visio 2002/2003/2003 Sp3/2007/2007 Sp1 (Image Processing Software). It has been declared as critical. Unspecified vulnerability in Microsoft Visio 2002 SP2, 2003 SP2 and SP3, and 2007 up to SP1 allows user-assisted remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a Visio file containing crafted object header data, aka "Visio Object Header Vulnerability."

The weakness was published 04/08/2008 with Microsoft as MS08-019 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is available at microsoft.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2008-1089 since 02/28/2008. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.

It is declared as proof-of-concept. As 0-day the estimated underground price was around $25k-$100k.
