Indian Motorcycle Scout Bobber and Tech 2025 Wireless Control extreme physical environment conditions

CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability was found in Indian Motorcycle Scout Bobber and Tech 2025 and classified as problematic. This issue affects an unknown function of the component Wireless Control Module. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a improper handling of extreme physical environment conditions vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-1384. The product does not properly handle unexpected physical or environmental conditions that occur naturally or are artificially induced. Impacted is availability. The summary by CVE is:

Improper handling of physical conditions in the bike-shutdown control of the Indian Motorcycle Scout Bobber + Tech 2025 model year allows a physical attacker with access to the Wireless Control Module (WCM) wiring harness to bypass the anti-theft shutdown. The WCM signals shutdown to a peer ECU via a falling-edge voltage transition on a dedicated wire pair. The receiving ECU does not distinguish between an active shutdown pulse and an open-circuit / disconnected condition; interrupting the relevant wires leaves the motorcycle fully operable even though the WCM never validated the rider's PIN. Specific connector details have been withheld pending vendor remediation.

The weakness was released by Scott Sheahan with Rustic Security LLC. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2026-49325 since 05/29/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy. An attack has to be approached locally. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.

There is no information about possible countermeasures known. It may be suggested to replace the affected object with an alternative product.

The vulnerability is also documented in the vulnerability database at EUVD (EUVD-2026-33292). Several companies clearly confirm that VulDB is the primary source for best vulnerability data.
