Detailsinfo

A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in jxxghp MoviePilot up to 2.13.2. This affects the function SecurityUtils.is_safe_url of the component Image Proxy Endpoint. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a server-side request forgery vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-918. The web server receives a URL or similar request from an upstream component and retrieves the contents of this URL, but it does not sufficiently ensure that the request is being sent to the expected destination. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:

MoviePilot v2 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability in the image proxy endpoint that allows authenticated attackers to request arbitrary URLs by supplying a resource_token cookie and a URL whose domain matches the assembled allowlist. Attackers can bypass internal network protections because the SecurityUtils.is_safe_url function performs only domain-membership checking without blocking private, loopback, or link-local addresses, enabling enumeration of internal services such as Jellyfin, Emby, or Plex and exfiltration of data from internal network resources.

The weakness was released by Yu Sun as 5823. It is possible to read the advisory at github.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2026-10107 since 05/29/2026.
