Details
A vulnerability classified as critical was found in SillyTavern up to 1.17.x. This vulnerability affects an unknown code of the component User Interface. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a server-side request forgery vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-918. The web server receives a URL or similar request from an upstream component and retrieves the contents of this URL, but it does not sufficiently ensure that the request is being sent to the expected destination. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
SillyTavern is a locally installed user interface that allows users to interact with text generation large language models, image generation engines, and text-to-speech voice models. Prior to 1.18.0, corsProxyMiddleware forwards req.params.url directly into fetch(url, ...). It only blocks circular requests to its own host and does not enforce destination allowlist or private/loopback restrictions, enabling SSRF. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.18.0.
The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2026-44652 since 05/07/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.
