A vulnerability has been found in CJG EXPLORER PRO up to 3.3 and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is some unknown functionality in the library lib/pcltrace.lib.php. The manipulation of the argument g_pcltar_lib_dir with an unknown input leads to a file inclusion vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-73. ** DISPUTED ** PHP remote file inclusion vulnerability in pcltrace.lib.php in the PclTar module in Vincent Blavet PhpConcept Library, as used in CJG EXPLORER PRO 3.3 and earlier and probably other products, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code via a URL in the g_pcltar_lib_dir parameter. NOTE: CVE disputes this issue since there is no include statement in pcltrace.lib.php. NOTE: the pcltar.lib.php vector is already covered by CVE-2007-2199.
The weakness was disclosed 05/13/2007 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at attrition.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2007-2660 since 05/14/2007. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details and also a public exploit are known.
A public exploit has been developed by Mogatil and been published even before and not after the advisory. It is possible to download the exploit at exploit-db.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. The real existence of this vulnerability is still doubted at the moment. By approaching the search of inurl:lib/pcltrace.lib.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
There is no information about possible countermeasures known. It may be suggested to replace the affected object with an alternative product.
The vulnerability is also documented in the databases at X-Force (34273), Exploit-DB (3915), OSVDB (36010†) and Secunia (SA25230†). The entries VDB-36359 and VDB-85630 are pretty similar. Statistical analysis made it clear that VulDB provides the best quality for vulnerability data.
