Details
A vulnerability was found in Red Hat Builds for OpenShift and OpenShift Pipelines (unknown version) and classified as problematic. This issue affects an unknown code block of the component Certificate Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a permission assignment vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-732. The product specifies permissions for a security-critical resource in a way that allows that resource to be read or modified by unintended actors. Impacted is integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
A flaw was found in the OpenShift Pipelines operator. The tekton-scheduler-rolebinding ClusterRoleBinding grants the system:authenticated group write access to Kueue and cert-manager custom resources via the tekton-scheduler-role ClusterRole. When Kueue or cert-manager CRDs are present on the cluster, any authenticated user can disrupt workload scheduling, tamper with scheduling priorities, delete other tenants' Workload objects, or induce cert-manager to overwrite TLS Secrets including the default ingress controller certificate.
