Details
A vulnerability was found in thedotmack claude-mem up to 11.0.1 and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is the function computeObservationContentHash of the file src/services/sqlite/observations/store.ts of the component Observation Content Hash Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a weak hash vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-328. The product uses an algorithm that produces a digest (output value) that does not meet security expectations for a hash function that allows an adversary to reasonably determine the original input (preimage attack), find another input that can produce the same hash (2nd preimage attack), or find multiple inputs that evaluate to the same hash (birthday attack). Impacted is integrity, and availability.
The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2026-11330. The exploitation is known to be difficult. Local access is required to approach this attack.
