Details
A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Termix-SSH Termix up to 2.3.1. This vulnerability affects an unknown function of the file /ssh/file_manager/ssh/resolvePath. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a os command injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-78. The product constructs all or part of an OS command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended OS command when it is sent to a downstream component. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Termix is a web-based server management platform with SSH terminal, tunneling, and file editing capabilities. Prior to version 2.3.2, the GET /ssh/file_manager/ssh/resolvePath endpoint in Termix is vulnerable to OS command injection. The endpoint uses double-quote escaping for shell command construction, which does not prevent $(...) and backtick command substitution. Any authenticated user with an active File Manager SSH session can execute arbitrary commands on the connected remote host. Version 2.3.2 patches the issue.
The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2026-45744 since 05/13/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1202.
Upgrading to version 2.3.2 eliminates this vulnerability.
