Details
A vulnerability was found in expresstech Quiz and Survey Master Plugin up to 11.1.2 on WordPress and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is some unknown processing. The manipulation of the argument order with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality. CVE summarizes:
The Quiz and Survey Master (QSM) – Easy Quiz and Survey Maker plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to time-based blind SQL Injection via the 'order' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 11.1.2 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with admin-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. If the secret key is exposed, this can be exploited by lower-privileged users.
