Logseq is vulnerable to a stored cross-site scripting (XSS). A malicious plugin can include a JavaScript payload in the "name" field of its "package.json" file, which is rendered using "innerHTML" without proper sanitization, allowing the execution of arbitrary code in the privileged host context. While only version v0.10.15 was tested and confirmed as vulnerable, status of other versions is unknown since this issue was not addressed by a patch.
The weakness was released by Bartłomiej Dmitruk. The advisory is shared for download at cert.pl. This vulnerability was named CVE-2026-47900 since 05/20/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.
